We'll be honoring John DiMattio, Director of Human Services with County of Erie, PA. More about John:
John DiMattio has served as Erie County’s Director of Human Services since 2014, bringing decades of experience and a deep commitment to community well-being. A St. Bonaventure University graduate, John began his career as a housekeeper at Saint Vincent Hospital and later spent 14 years at the Barber National Institute, where his passion for human services took root.
He joined Erie County in 1999, initially working in the Intellectual Disabilities division before taking on roles in Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol Services. His leadership since 2014 has focused on making services more accessible, efficient, and person-centered for the county’s most vulnerable populations.
Known for his collaborative approach and compassionate advocacy, John is also a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. A Bruce Springsteen fan, he enjoys golf, basketball, technology, and photography. His career stands as a powerful example of service-driven leadership and unwavering dedication to others.
